1. Who is ADR Center?

ADR Center is a European body certified under Article 21 of the Digital Service Act (DSA) that has been providing out-of-court online dispute resolution for 27 years. We help service recipients resolve conflicts with online platforms quickly, impartially, and digitally.


2. What does extrajudicial dispute resolution mean?

ADR is a method of resolving conflicts without having to go through the courts. ADR Center decision makers act as independent neutrals to facilitate a solution between users and online platforms.


3. Who can use ADR Center?

Any user or recipient of a service who has a dispute with an online platform about content management, or other violations of terms of service, can choose ADR Center to resolve the dispute. This includes users, organizations or entities that have reported illegal or inappropriate content.


4. Is the dispute resolution binding?

No, decisions made by ADR Center are not binding on the parties. However, we provide an impartial and transparent procedure to resolve the dispute by facilitating conciliation between the parties and providing a decision on the dispute. In case of a favorable outcome for the user, the online platform will cover will reimburse the user for the costs of the procedure.


5. How much does it cost to use ADR Center?

To access the service, the user must pay a symbolic cost of €10 +vat if due as a start-up fee. If the dispute is resolved in favor of the recipient of the service, the online platform is required to cover the costs of the procedure. Otherwise, the user is not required to pay any costs, unless the user has acted in bad faith.


6. What types of disputes are handled by ADR Center?

ADR Center handles disputes related to content that is illegal or in violation of the terms of use of online platforms, including cases of content moderation, removal of posts, or violation of users' rights.


7. How can I initiate a dispute resolution?

Simply fill out the online form on our website and upload the necessary documents. Our team will review the case and proceed with mediation between you and the platform.


8. How quickly is a dispute resolved?

The Eu regulations set a maximum time frame of 90 days from receipt of the complaint to resolve the dispute. In more complex cases, this period can be extended to a maximum of 180 days. ADR Center aims to halve the maximum time for handling the procedure governed by the regulations.


9. Which online platforms are covered by ADR Center's service?

ADR Center handles disputes with any online platform operating within the European Union that is subject to the Digital Service Act (DSA). This includes both small platforms and large operators such as VLOPs (Very Large Online Platforms).
